The team at Refex Renewables has built more than a gigawatt (GW) of distributed solar projects in 8000+ locations. Our teams are present in 15 States and have built relationships with the local eco-systems of sub-contractors, energy administrators, and customers.

The leadership team has over 100+ years of management experience in solar and distributed energy; the team has a cumulative relevant experience of over 1500 man-years.
The leadership team comes with managerial experience from several global and Indian companies like Cisco Systems, Cypress Semiconductors, Bloom Energy, PwC, Maersk, ICICI, IL&FS, HCL, JSW, Maruti Suzuki, Texas Instruments, Bell Labs, and Ashok Leyland.
The team has solid experience of over a decade in all elements of the life cycle of Solar assets across various segments – Project Development, EPC, Equity and Debt raise, O&M, Asset Management, and Sell Downs.

Mr. Pasupathy Gopalan and Mr. Anil Jain are Co-Founders of Refex Renewables 2.0 with the aim to provide a sustainable and renewable energy source to humanity, by harnessing the all-encompassing energy of the sun.

Pashupathy Gopalan

Pashu is the Co-chairman & CEO of Refex Renewables. In his earlier roles, he built and led Refex Renewables in Asia, Africa & Australia. Under his leadership, Refex Renewables developed, built, financed and operated over $3B of Solar projects in various segments like Utility, Commercial & Industrial, Residential and Rural. Prior to Refex Renewables, he has held leadership roles in Bloom Energy where he was responsible for strategy, sales & marketing, and Cypress Semiconductor where he ran various businesses and also led M&A, Venture Investments, Strategy, & Global Marketing. Pashu has a B.Tech from IIT, MS from Arizona, and MBA from Stanford University.

Anil Jain

Enterprising people start young, they say! Meet the perfect example. A graduate from Loyola College in Chennai, Mr. Anil Jain, the Co-chairman and Managing Director of Refex Renewables, started working at the age of 17. In 2002, he founded Refex Group, dealing with Refrigerated gases. He revolutionized the industry by introducing retail size canisters, while most were offering only large containers. In 2008, he set about to develop and offer eco-friendly power alternatives in India by setting up Refex Energy Limited. He takes the commendable initiative to mentor and nurture start-ups. Since January 2017, he has been managing Refex Renewables's Distributed Solar Business in India.
